Abu Dhabi Economic Forum starts in Hanover
Hanover - The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development will organise the 'Abu Dhabi Economic Forum' in Hanover tomorrow on the sidelines of the Hanover International Fair.
The Forum, the second to be organised by the Department outside UAE will explore ways for strengthening trade relations between the Abu Dhabi emirate and Germany.
German Ambassador to UAE Klaus Peter Brandes stressed earlier that the participation of Abdu Dhabi at Hanover International Fair is vital as it is a good opportunity to brief German businesspersons about the Abu Dhabi Strategic Vision 2030, business opportunities and facilities for investors in economic, industrial, trade, tourism, political and cultural fields in the Abu Dhabi emirate.
The Forum will celebrate the continuous growth of relations between the Abu Dhabi emirate and Germany and will also help German firms to locate the future investment opportunities in the emirate.
Ten institutions representing public and private sectors in the emirate are participating in the Hanover International Fair, described as the biggest technological and industrial fair in the world. Reports show the trade exchange between the UAE and Germany surged 40 per cent to Dh45.7 billion ($12.5 billion) last year compared to 2007.
