Abu Dhabi readies for ever bigger 'Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition'
The Organising Committee for the 'Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition' (Abu Dhabi 2009) announced that there will be an increase in the number of participants taking part in the event.
The Exhibition, which grows lager each year, is considered the best opportunity for tens of thousands of hunters from the Gulf to meet annually and exchange their views and experiences.
The event, which is sponsored by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club (EFC), and organised by the EFC in cooperation with TURIT Co. with support from ADACH, will be held from September 30th to October 3rd, 2009.
Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director of Exhibition, said the area for reservations at the Exhibition increased to 21,530 square meters for 2009 from the 16,281 square meters in 2008, an increase of 25%. He pointed out that, as a result of the great demand by this year's exhibitors, the Organising Committee is seriously considering a further increase in Exhibition's space to accommodate more participants, which so far have booked so far 92% of the allocated area, while still there are companies on the waiting list.
This year's Exhibition is to feature a number of new events that will be later announced, but the event will continue its trend of promoting 'rooted heritage' and 'sustainable hunting'.
The Exhibition, which is meant to highlight the culture and heritage of the United Arab Emirates, will see the participation of companies specialized in falcon medicines and treatment, falcon captive-breeding farms, as well as manufacturers of all equestrian sport accessories, hunting equipment, rifles, fishing equipment, marine equipment, and tour and safari organisers.
