Bahrain-UK environmental cooperation discussed

Manama, Sept. 12 (BNA): Special Envoy for Climate Change, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah, the Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), received in his office today British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roddy Drummond. He praised the ambassador’s key role in boosting bilateral relations, mainly in the environmental field. He also reviewed with him issues of common interest, stressing keenness of SCE on promoting cooperation to confront the environmental and climate change challenges and support the international efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals. The meeting also shed light on preparations of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom to participate in the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) which is slated to be held in the Scottish city of Glasgow next November.
