MGM Mirage set to operate hotels in Dubai
International hospitality heavyweight MGM Mirage is set to operate three of its world-famous hotels - the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Skylofts - in Dubai as part of the Dh15 billion Dubai Pearl project, it was announced on Tuesday according to "Gulf News".
The announcement means Dubai Pearl becomes Dubai's first hotel and residence under the MGM Mirage brand.
It is also MGM Mirage's first operation in the Middle East. The group already owns and operates 16 properties in Nevada, Mississippi and Michigan, and has 50 per cent investments in four other properties in the US, and one in Macau.
Developer Pearl Dubai will own and finance the 250-room Bellagio hotel, the 350-room MGM Grand hotel and 30-suite Skylofts hotel. Leading development company MGM Mirage hospitality will manage and provide all the technical expertise necessary for the venture. –
