Ruler of Sharjah receives Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received here today in his office Deputy Iraqi Prime Minister HE Rafi Hiyad al-Issawi, in presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of bolstering them in all fields. Al- Issawi briefed Sharjah Ruler about the efforts being exerted to restore security and stability in Iraq. Sheikh Sultan wished the best achievements for Iraqi people, adding that the UAE leadership and people were keen for safeguarding the national unity of Iraq.
Leading high profile Iraqi delegation, the Deputy Iraqi PM hailed distinguished fraternal relations between the UAE and Iraq in all fields, citing the UAE constructive position on helping the Iraqi people.
The Iraqi official is visiting the country to participate in the UAE-Iraqi business gathering. The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Crescent Petroleum Company and Dana Gas are taking part in the gathering, which will be held at the SCCI. A number of Iraqi ministers, leading UAE and GCC businesspersons are taking part in the gathering. –
