Gargash meets President of Uruguay
Montevideo - President Tabare Vazquez of Eastern Uruguay received yesterday visiting UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H.E. Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash.
Gargash is visiting Uruguay as part of a tour of Latin America which will also take him to Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Beru. During the whirl tour, he will hold talks over ways of enhancing relations of cooperation between the UAE and Latin American countries Dr. Gargash conveyed the best wishes of UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the head of state of Uruguay for progress and prosperity of his country and its people.
As he welcomed the top UAE official, President Vazquez hoped bilateral relations would see more progress for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries.
Meanwhile, the UAE minister also met with Uruguayan Minister of Foreign Affairs Gonzalo Fernandez and exchanged with him views on a wide range of regional and international topics of mutual concern.
An agreement for joint cooperation in economic, commercial and technical fields was signed by the two ministers after the meeting.
In another meeting, the UAE minister discussed with Minister of Housing '&' Environment Carlos Colacce efforts being made to conserve the environment and use of clear energy in the two countries.
