Ghobash takes part at Geneva meeting on dealing with forced labour phenomenon
Geneva - June 11, 2009 (WAM) - UAE Labour Minister HE Saqr Ghobash has participated in the discussions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) report on the principles and basic labour rights to eradicate the forced labour phenomenon. The discussions were held at the sideline of the 98th session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), being held in Geneva.
The participation of Ghobash, who is heading the high profile UAE delegation, emphasises the commitment of the UAE to support the efforts of the ILO on protection of the labour rights.
The UAE minister also took part at the coordinating meeting held by the GCC ministers at the sideline of the ILC to unify the attitudes towards a number of issues in the ILC agenda.
