Hamdan bin Zayed visits Mayor of Munich residence

Munich - June 11, 2009 (WAM) - HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, visited here yesterday the residence of German city of Munich, where he was received by Munich deputy mayor Hep Monatzeder.
Sheikh Hamdan said his current visit to the Federal Republic of Germany comes in line with the instructions from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and follow up from HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to boost the bilateral relations between the two countries in the best interest of the two peoples.
He exchanged views with the German official about growing trade and investment ties between the UAE and Germany. Sheikh Hamdan noted huge existence of the German Companies in the UAE and their pivotal role in the economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
The deputy Munich Mayor said that about 65, 000 tourists from the GCC countries, mainly from the UAE visited Munich last year.
Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Culture and Heritage Authority, other Sheikhs, leading economic and business personalities and senior officials.
