Khalifa Foundation offers 15 generators to Swat Valley's refugee camps
Abu Dhabi, June 23, 2009 (WAM) - The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation has completed its third phase of assistance to refugees of Swat Valley which involved delivery of 15 power generators of high technical specifications.
“Each unit has the capacity to generate 100 kilovolt of electricity which can light up to 1500 tents, said the Foundation in a press release today. The release said more than 150,000 refugees had benefited from the Foundation's humanitarian assistance. The Foundation was on the ground to offer relief items since the crisis in region erupted last March.
