RTA donates 25 mini buses to UAE Red Crescent
Dubai, June 30, 2009 (WAM) - Public Transport Agency at Roads '&' Transport Authority (RTA) has donated 25 mini buses of various models to the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) as contribution from the RTA to the humanitarian efforts made by the UAE Red Crescent (Dubai Branch) inside and outside the UAE.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Public Transport Agency and UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) attended by Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO of Public Transport Agency, and Director General of UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj Al Zaarooni at the Head Office of Public Transport Agency, in the presence of a number of directors and managers from both sides.
Al Dossari said that RTA was always keen to support the efforts of the UAE as a whole and Dubai emirate in particular that aim at lending support to sister and friendly countries across the world to alleviate the plight and losses caused by wars and natural disasters sustained by citizens of those countries.
