ITTF Vice President Hails Qatar's Well-Equipped Facilities Ahead of World Championships 2025 Hosting
Doha, October 03 (QNA) - ITTF Executive Vice President, Dr. Alaa Meshref hailed Qatar's well-prepared facilities to stage ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals 2025 (Doha 2025).
Meshref told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that an inspection earlier on Thursday showed well-equipped facilities that meet the ITTF requirements and standards, demonstrating Qatar in full readiness to host the event. This inspection tour lasts for two days.
Qatar has demonstrated huge capacity to host mega events, primarily the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which earned global acclaim in various aspects, Meshref added.
Qatar, which organized ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals 20 years ago, will not find it difficult now with all these capabilities to host it again, he added.
Meshref commended the tripartite agreement between the Qatar Football Association, FIFA and Aspetar, hailing the latter's reputation as a world-leading sports medicine hospital.
He voiced ITTF's hopes to further collaborate with Aspetar to benefit from its expertise in ensuring a safe, healthy and supportive environment for all athletes. (QNA)
