UAE cultural days in Germany a bridge between Arab, western cultures
Abu Dhabi, July 26, 2009 (WAM) The UAE cultural days in Germany organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, from July 8-14, have scored significant success as they become "a bridge between the Arab and western cultures".
The event was inaugurated by HE Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and a number of German officials.
Commenting on the event, Al Owais said that the "culture is a bridge that links world peoples to boost their relations. The UAE government highlights the cultural values of its people worldwide", adding that the UAE supports the dialogue among different cultures to achieve peaceful co-existence. He hailed the role of the UAE Embassy in Berlin to make the cultural days as a success. Multi-national visitors poured to the Emirates Heritage Village, held in Berlin City. The visitors were thrilled by the UAE national folklore troupe. This success made the ministry to study holding cultural shows in a number of European and western cities to introduce the UAE and Arab culture and arts to further bolster cultural dialogue.
