Russia may begin commercial production of vaccine from A/H1N1/ flu in Nov

MOSCOW, October 3 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia may begin commercial
production of a vaccine from the A/H1N1/ flu in November if the results of
testing are positive and authorities give the go-ahead, researcher Igor
Nikinorov of the Flu Research Institute said.
"Research is proceeding in accordance with the clinical testing
protocol, without violations. When the first stage was over, we received
permission from the controlling bodies to continue research," he said.
"Everything is going as scheduled and we plan to compete the research
at the end of October or the middle of November. After the results are
obtained, they will be sent to controlling bodies that will have to decide
on the registration of the vaccine and its possible commercial
production," the official said.
