US Congress team visits Abu Dhabi Executive Council

Abu Dhabi, Dec 22, 2009 (WAM) - A US Congress team has visited the Secretariat General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council (ADEC) as part of the UAE Foreign Ministry' strategy to open up avenues of dialogue for boosting bilateral relations.
The delegation, which comprises six senior aides to congressmen and top government officials, met with heads of departments at the ADEC and discussed with them wide range of issues related to government performance as well as initiatives seeking to position the government of Abu Dhabi as one of the best five governments in the world.
The delegation was welcomed by Director General of Abu Dhabi Systems '&' Information Centre Rashid Al Mansouri, Director of Strategy and Policy Planning Khalifa Al Mansouri, Director of Government Performance Hamed Al Safi and Director of Communications and Information Rashid Al Hamli.
Director General of Abu Dhabi Systems '&' Information Centre Rashid Al Mansouri briefed the US guests on the e-government initiative in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The congressmen were also familiarised with the Abu Dhabi policy agenda.
