ADAC welcomes Air France to UAE capital

Abu Dhabi, Dec 29, 2009 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) yesterday welcomed Air France's new service between Abu Dhabi and Paris, from May 3, next year, taking advantage of the strong and growing links between the two capitals and opening up opportunities for new connections from Abu Dhabi to numerous destinations in France.
Drawing on the success of the existing six-time a week non-stop flights operated by KLM between Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam, ADAC was able to clearly demonstrate to Air France the benefits of expanding their network to take advantage of the major economic transformation underway in Abu Dhabi, and connecting it with Air France/KLM's largest hub in Europe.
The French national carrier will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport with Paris' Charles De Gaulle Airport with five flights per week and will also provide seamless connections to many other destinations in France, Europe and internationally. The route will be served by an Airbus A330 initially configured with business and economy classes and, within a few months, Air France's new Premium Voyageur class.
The route is expected to cater to tourism and business travellers, Abu Dhabi's Western European expatriate population and, of course, the significant community of French who are resident in the UAE.
