Khalifa Tower is a sign of progress, development and determination, UAE Arabic press
Abu Dhabi, Jan 6, 2010 (WAM)- The Arabic language newspapers have spotlighted yesterday's historical event when Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the world's most iconic building " Burj Khalifa" in Dubai.
The "Al Khaleej" noted yesterday that Dubai Tower which is now Khalifa Tower is a sign of progress, development and determination.
"When Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum surprises the whole world by naming the highest tower of the world "Khalifa bin Zayed", it concludes that the UAE achievement is one, and that the union is the idea, the path, the destiny and also the challenge," the daily added.
Under the title Khalifa Tower: UAE achievement is one, the paper said "We are a nation that do not give up first place and the principle is now being practiced in our country at the highest levels and sends a clear message to every citizen: Action is the foundation and there are no limits for ambition. Our aspirations must be very high." A writer Aisha Sultan, in her column "Alphabetic" published in the Arabic language "Al Ittihad" commended HH Sheikh Mohammed decision to name the tower after HH Sheikh Khalifa and declared it the biggest achievement.
On the other hand, "Akhbar Al Arab" Arabic daily also congratulated Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for this amazing achievement, and also congratulated Dubai and the emirates for this creativity that astonished the world.
"Al Emarat Al Youm" Arabic newspaper described Khalifa Tower as the 'Desert Rose' and said that it is a tower for the UAE, Arabs and the whole world.
