Meeting of special envoys for Afghanistan and Pakistan kicks off
Abu Dhabi, Jan 13, 2010 (WAM)- The meeting of special envoys of Afghanistan and Pakistan began yesterday in Abu Dhabi with the participation of HE Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The meeting is attended by HE Nasser Judah, Jordanian Foreign Minister, HE Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan's Foreign Minister and HE Rangin Dadfar Spanta Afghan Foreign Minister along with representatives of 40 countries. Moreover, the meeting is discussing the current situation in Pakistan, Afghanistan and ways to promote stability in both countries as well as mechanisms of coordination between the countries supporting Afghanistan and Pakistan in various fields so as to rehabilitate infrastructure and access to a better environment and a stable life.
